Dr. Ken Ross - Principal

Dr. Ross came to LCA in the spring of 2017. His background includes 20 years as a church planter and lead pastor and 15 years in Christian education as faculty and administrator at the undergraduate level and adjunct graduate level. He and his wife, Karen, have 4 children and 12 grandchildren. He is passionate for Jesus and His people, and longs to be a part of what God wants to accomplish in others--especially the next generation. He has a soft spot for family, the church, his two dogs, vintage sports cars/motorcycles and a good book. He has no place for spicy hot food, brussel sprouts, and mediocrity. 

Dr. David Rafeedie - vice Principal

Dr. Rafeedie arrived as Vice Principal at Logos Christian Academy in September.  He is the former executive pastor of  Evangelical Free Church in Steinbach, Manotoba.  He has a  BA in Anthropology, MS in Business, MDiv and DMin in Pastoral Ministry. He is already a positive impact and encouragement on Staff and  Students. 

Mrs. Danna Goldman-Director of advancement

Mrs. Danna Goldman  is a native Arizonian, and one of the founding members of Logos Christian Academy.  She is a wife and mother of nine God-loving children. She is passionate about raising-up children with a biblical worldview and an exemplary education. She served as an LCA Board member until 2010 when she stepped down to become the Principal of Logos Christian Academy for a two year tenure.  Since then she has served LCA as a Legacy board member and stalwart supporter of its mission. She brings the legacy of LCA and a passion for its mission to the position of Director of Advancement.  Her interests include God, family, and a lifelong love of learning. 


Ms. Sylvestre  came to LCA in 2011 and served as the Office Manager, Nurse, Teacher's helper and Cheerleader of every student.  Her joy is contagious and her heart is to serve.   Ms. Sylvestre is the mother of two boys and a red-headed nephew, and she uses tacos, pizza, a crockpot, and the grill to keep them all "on the go".  

MS. Haley Lewis - Office Assistant

This is Mrs. Lewis’ first year at Logos as an office assistant. Though she was born in Casa Grande, she recently moved back from Georgia to be with family. Being part of the LCA Admin staff comes with the added bonus of working with her mother, our fourth-grade teacher Dena Deats. She comes to LCA as a former nursery room teacher and teachers aide in public school and Haley brings remarkable administrative intuition. God has blessed Haley with an amazing two-year-old daughter, who she loves to spend most of her time with. She also enjoys being outdoors and family activities.

Ms. Floyce Wilkerson - Kindergarten Teacher

Ms. Wilkerson came to LCA in the Fall of 2017.  Her background includes 12 years in Early Education working as an Educational Assistant.  She is an Aunt to many, passionate for Jesus, and aspires to help young children grow in Christ.  Her loves are family, church, helping others and a good book on learning and growing in the Lord.  Ms. Wilkerson is a native Arizonian in Casa Grande, and she was raised in Coolidge.  She enjoys spicy Mexican food, movies, and target practicing.

Mrs. Arlene Brown - First Grade Teacher

Mrs. Brown joined LCA in the Fall of 2017.  She grew up in General Santos City, Philippines and graduated from Notre Dame University Philippines with a BS in Elementary Education in 2003.  She and her husband William have a son.  Mrs. Brown loves identifying and developing the creative abilities God has given children.  She considers every child a blessing from the Lord.  Mrs. Brown is passionate about music and plays the guitar, keyboard, bass and drums.  She has served on multiple church worship teams.  She also loves to go camping and watch movies.

Mrs. Deniese Brewer - Second Grade Teacher 

Mrs. Brewer came to LCA in early 2019. She has a passion for teaching grammar-aged children and leading them to experience the love and joy of Jesus Christ. She teaches children's ministry at her local church and enjoys playing around on the piano in her free time. She is a native of Arizona as well as a wife, mom, and step-mom to six children ranging in age from youngsters to adults. Having spent many years in Colorado, she loves the great outdoors and gardening. Whenever possible, she and her family (including a Texas Heeler named Lily) enjoy camping, hiking, and exploring nature in the more remote and cooler areas of beautiful Arizona.


Ms. Ricki Trejo - Third Grade Teacher

Ms. Trejo originally came to LCA in the Fall of 2011 as a Teacher, where she taught for 2-1/2 years in a multi-grade classroom setting and, thankfully, returned in the summer of 2017.  Her background includes an AA in Elementary Education, 23 years of homeschooling and over 30 years of experience with clerical, secretarial and office management responsibilities.  Her passion is to help children receive an excellent, godly education, that builds strong character and instills a desire for life-long learning.  She has 6 children and 7 grandchildren.  She enjoys reading, hiking, bowling, skating, dancing, horseback riding, church, and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Dena Deats - Fourth Grade Teacher

Mrs. Dena Deats teaches Fourth Grade. She moved here with her family from Virginia seven years. She has three daughters and four grandchildren. One of those daughters, Haley Lewis, serves as an Administration Assistant at LCA. Mrs Deats enjoys every minute she get to spend with her precious little ones in and out of the classroom. She loves time with family and is a faithful volunteer at her church.

Ms. Sarah Li'mon- 5th Grade Homeroom

Ms. Limon is native to Casa Grande. She graduated from Casa Grande Union High School and from the University of Arizona. She previously worked for the Casa Grande Elementary School District as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional. Ms. Limon loves spending time with family, especially playing games and watching movies with her daughter. Ms. Limon likes to attend Christian concerts and women’s conferences. Her favorite vacation spots include San Diego, Disneyland and La Ventana Canyon in Tucson. She enjoys a good cup of coffee, with breakfast being her favorite meal of the day; French toast! Ms. Limon is excited to be a new teacher at Logos Christian Academy and looks forward to learning and growing alongside her students. 

Mrs. Priscilla Ferebee - 5th Grade TA

Mrs. Ferebee is a native of Casa Grande and came to LCA in 2017.  She attended Eloy public schools and graduated from Rhema Bible College in 2005.  She has worked with teenagers for over ten years in her church's youth group as well as in public schools in Eloy and Casa Grande.  Mrs. Ferebee and her husband Anthony have three children.  She loves the Lord and desires to help youth know the love of God and to become who He created them to be.  She loves family, pizza, Disneyland, and enjoys working out when she can.  She can do without veggies, spicy foods, and eye shadow application because, according to her, she just can't do it.

Mrs. Cassandra Smith - 6th Grade Homeroom

Mrs. Smith teaches Middle School English, Literature and Writing.  She came to LCA in 2016 after three years of homeschooling.  She is convinced that the best education is one with Christ as its foundation.  She is passionate to make a difference in a child's life and feels shaping the next generation into young men and women of God is a divine calling.  Mrs. Smith and her husband have been married eighteen years and have four children.  She loves a good book, especially on a rainy day--a fairly rare experience in Arizona.  She and her husband are suckers for a good pickle ball game and real conversations with delicious food. 

Ms.Laura Black - 7th Grade Homeroom

 Ms. Black has been teaching Social Studies since 1996 in Christian schools and in virtual academies.  She graduated from Northern University in Wisconsin with a Bachelor's of Science in Social Studies Secondary Education.  She is certified to teach in 4 states and currently teaches online students in those states as well as teaching as Logos.  She is very excited that God has led her to Logos to teach Bible and History and is excited to see God do mighty things here at Logos.  Ms. Black stays very involved with her church community by leading a women's groups and worship on the weekends.  In her free time she loves to garden, take care of her pets, work out and travel.


Mrs. Lisette Bednarek - 8th Grade Homeroom

Mrs. Bednarek teaches Math and Science for the School of Logic. She comes to us from the business world as the business manager for Goldman Dairy. As a former tutor, she helped many high school students gaining greater skills in mathematics. She is passionate about encouraging her students to be all that God has called them to be. Mrs. Bednarek and her husband of 22 years have three children. The oldest is a Marine, second oldest a massage therapist and her youngest is a junior in High school and plays volleyball—and Mrs. Bednarek loves to watch her play.

Mrs. Richelle Honea - Bible, Latin and Logic


Mrs. Honea brings years of pastoral ministry and missionary service to the classroom. She has a love for young people and a passion to challenge her students to step into God’s plan for their lives. Mrs. Honea teaches Bible, Latin and Logic in the school of Logic. She and her husband of 36 years have 3 adult sons and 2 grandsons. Known as a "coffee snob," Mrs. Honea also enjoys her hobby farm animals, new adventures, and is looking forward to learning to fly fish this year.

Mrs. Nicole Tirado- Physical Education  & LCA Receptionist
